Working Vineyard in Fredericksburg, Texas

Out on the Vineyard

The rolling hills and distant vistas of the Texas Hill Country are reminiscent of the growing regions of Italy and the Rhone Valley in Southern France. Grape Creek Vineyards started as a vineyard in 1983.

Our vineyards are designed in blocks situated throughout our 100-acre site in order to take advantage of the best soil, air flow and high ground to help protect the vines from freezes. The entry and tasting room blocks also create a beautiful setting for our visitors.

Grape Creek Vineyards Vinting and Bottling Facilities

Winery & Cellar

Tours include a visit to our entire production complex. With the addition of our new tank room and crush pad, and complete renovation of our existing facilities, Grape Creek now utilizes a state-of-the-art wine production complex with crush, production, cellaring and bottling areas.

Grape Creek is a boutique winery that only offers our wine through our wine club, tasting rooms and online. This allows us to limit our production volume to focus on "hand-crafted" winemaking standards.

Our bell tower and Tuscan tasting room are the most visible to all our guests, however, our focus on wine production resources has been fundamental; because in the end, "it's about the wine." So, looking from highway 290 toward the West side of our 100 acre property you will see a series of olive colored buildings with “Grape Creek Vineyards" on the main winery building which designates our wine production complex.

Grape Creek’s Winemaker - Jason Englert.

Jason has been with Grape Creek Vineyards since 2004. Prior to joining Grape Creek Jason spent 8 years as the assistant winemaker for Llano Estacado Winery in Lubbock. Jason’s focus is making wines from the highest quality selection of grapes and use of both advanced and traditional wine-making practices.

Since Jason’s arrival at Grape Creek Vineyards the quality of the wine continues to reach new heights and has been recognized with awards in the most challenging competitions in the country, including double golds, best of class designations and multiple 90+ ratings. Jason and his winemaking team like to make wine right the first time, by keeping a spotless winery, planning ahead and letting the developing wines create their own path to the bottle.
